The FONL Foundation Inc. was established by the Florida Organization of Nursing Leadership, Inc. in 1993 to promote professional nursing practice in the areas of advancing nursing education and scholarly inquiry. Nursing education advancement and scholarly inquiry are supported by the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives for the Florida Organization of Nursing Leadership (FONL) Inc.

The FONL Foundation Inc. is a not for profit, tax exempt corporation that is distinct from FONL Inc.

​

The FONL Foundation’s annual activities include fundraising to support the provision of scholarships in collaboration with the FONL Scholarship Committee. The Foundation Inc. collaborates with the FONL Research and Evidence-Based Practice Committee to provide annual grants for the conduct of nursing research.
